Where are you today?

Gentle sound therapy.
Keep the sound comfortable and usually below your tinnitus level. The aim is support, not masking it aggressively.

Sound Settings

12%
Start low. You should still be able to hear the world around you.
25%
Adds a very slow rise and fall so the sound feels less static.

Optional Tinnitus Filter

This feature reduces a small part of the sound that matches your tinnitus pitch.

For example, my tinnitus sounds like a very high-pitched hiss, so I would use a setting around 10,000 Hz.

Not sure what your tinnitus pitch is?

Try searching online for "My Tinnitus Notch" or "Tinnitus Pitch Matching". These free tools can help you estimate the frequency of your tinnitus.

Some people find this helpful as part of sound therapy, while others notice little difference.

Experimental β€” leave it switched off if you are unsure.

A note from Tim

When my tinnitus first started, I worried about it a lot. If you're concerned, it's always worth getting your ears checked. In some cases, hearing aids can help, particularly if hearing loss is involved.

Today I can still hear it if I listen for it, but most of the time I simply do not care about it, and it isn't a problem.

Habituation is real. Many people get there.

What recovery can look like

Recovery does not always mean silence.

It can mean the sound is there, but it no longer feels important and is often not a distraction.

Recovery can mean you stop checking, stop arguing with it, and return your attention to life.

The tinnyTIM idea

The goal is not silence.

The goal is freedom.

Use this app as a gentle reminder that progress is possible, even on louder days.

The journey levels in this app use original wording inspired by common tinnitus habituation and recovery concepts. They are not a diagnostic tool.
